(Studio) White House says Nixon pardon not based solely on former President' health.

(DC) White House spokesperson Jack Hushen announces President Ford to hold news conf. with regard to pardon in near future. Ford tells private meeting of Republican gubernatorial candidates other reasons for Nixon pardon exist. White House cnsl. Dean Burch says President may or may not make information public. Search underway for new White House press secretary; Pentagon spokesperson Jerry Friedheim under consideration along with Washington, DC "Post" columnist David Broder.
