(Studio) United States Treasury takes action to stop rumors claiming Fort Knox contains no gold.

(Fort Knox, Kentucky) Congmen. and newsmen allowed to visit Fort Knox; 30 years ago President Hoover allowed to see gold but no one else allowed till now. Official audit begins tomorrow. Mint director Mary Brooks snips seal on vault containing over 300,000 gold bars. Treasury Secretary William Simon hopes to stop rumors with regard to Fort Knox gold by opening vault.
