(Studio) Court-ordered busing starts.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd

(Denver, Colorado) 23,000 pupils involved in busing. Some spend 1/2 day in 1 school and rest of day at another school. [Antibusing parent Jerry MAXWELL - says son goes to his school 9-11 a.m. and to other school for lunches and more classes.] Appears 20% students aren't showing up. [School superintendent Louis KUSHKUNAS - says parochial, private, and suburban schools full. Predicts creation of new schools and tutors for some.] Denver archdiocese says its schools won't be haven for students whose parents want to avoid integration.
