(Studio) Despite $3 billion in last 5 years for law enforcement, FBI report shows crime increases

(DC) In 1973, major crimes shot up 6%. Chart showing increases from 1963 to 1973 shown. Murder incrd. 5%; rape 10%; aggravated assault 7%; robbery 2%; car theft 5%; larceny 5%, and burglary 8%. Crime up 1% in cities; 9% in suburbs and 10% in rural areas. [Criminologist Marvin WOLFGANG - says US has highest gun-pop. ratio of any country Mixed population creates more crime as in black population] Crime up 15% 1st 3 mos. 1974.
