(DC) 1963 law gives $450,000 to departing President for transition. Law gives $55,000 pension and staff funds of $96,000. Rest of amount: $249,000 for setting up office at San Clemente. $249,000 incls. $40,000 travel; $65,000 furnishings, and $100,000 miscellaneous. [Chairperson Appropriations Committee Senator Joseph MONTOYA - says wants to know how much necessary.] Hearings planned.
