(Studio) President Ford delays amnesty decision due to Nixon pardon decision.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd

(Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) Crowd at airport polite. Crowd at hotel protested pardon. Ford knew decision would be controversial and knew White House mail mostly against pardon. Told transportation conference he'd support limited fed. subsidies to operate transit systems. Ford booed leaving hotel. He greeted children at school; boy gives him gift of football jersey. Dep. news secretary, John Hushen, says Ford delaying amnesty decision for service dodgers, deserters.
