(Studio) Chairperson Occidental Petroleum Corporation and patron of cuts, Armand Hammer, 77, pleads guilty of hiding gifts to Nixon campaign. He has negotiated US-USSR deals.

(DC) Hammer upstages his attorney Edward Bennett Williams by disputing judge's power to impose sentence. Judge William Jones finally got Hammer to admit he could get 3 years Hammer pleads guilty to giving $54,000 to Nixon campaign. Used cover-up. To be sentenced later. Ex-Governor Tim Babcock of MT, who delivered money for Hammer, already received 4 month sentence.
