(Studio) Douglas resigned because he thought his physical weakness might hurt court Abe Fortas resigned due to fear court's integrity would be hurt. Doug. climbed mts. as boy to overcome polio's effects and kept climbing them. He was quick worker. Ford said last spring he wouldn't be obligated to replace Douglas with another liberal. If Betty Ford gets way, replacement will be woman.
