(Studio) Israel and Syria not agreed on terms to keep United Nations troops in Golan Hgts. beyond Sunday United Nations Secretary General Kurt Waldheim going to Syria and Israel in effort to extend mandate.

(Golan Hgts.) Israel hopeful mandate will be extended, but is prepared for war. Syrians putting finishing touches on strong front-line defense Israeli defense also strengthened. Syria knows Egypt would resist war. Israeli settlers expect war of attrition from Syria. Syria still retains mil. options even if mandate extended.
