REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(DC) Nixon offers to testify on wide variety of subjects. In letter from his attorney, Herbert J. Miller, his conditions for testimony include: 4 hrs. of testimony, possibly extended, at San Clemente, California; only Senators Frank Church and John Tower to attend and committee to acknowledge that testimony is voluntary. Tower thinks offer reasonable. Church has reservations. Staff members reported in favor of accepting Nixon's offer.
