(DC) Errors in polls, plus Ford's trip to China could cause public to shift at this time. Publicity affects polls. Reagan did well following announcement of candidacy. Ford's domination of news, especially broadcast news, noted. Humphrey called silent candidate, ranking high in polls. Polls to be more important later.
