(New Jersey) Reporter recounts true events with regard to revolutionary army and Hessians at Trenton, New Jersey. George Washington gathered together boats on Delaware River. He had been thinking of surrender. It was cold and miserable when Washington and his men crossed Delaware River. Youths, John Marshall, James Monroe and Alexander Hamilton, among those who crossed. Attack on Hessians related. Ragged rabble saved United States on Christmas night. Reporter quotes from Thomas Paine.
