(Amman, Jordan) Khalid meets with King Hussein.

(Damascus, Syria) Khalid meets with President Hafez al-Assad. Syria angry at Egypt for selling out Arab allies by signing American-sponsored interim peace agreement with Israel. Saudi Arabia is main financial backer of Egypt and Syria. Egypt press reports President Assad putting 300 Syrian Communists in jail. Implied that Syria renouncing USSR and swinging to US, with Egypt. Syria denies this. Khalid pledges to spare no effort in liberating Syria's land.
