(Atlanta, Georgia) 100 people arrive at church to fast for 1 week [Dick GREGORY - says fasting to call attention to world food crisis.] [MAN - says some people don't get enough food or the right kind.] [Patrick HART - says United States should be able to feed all her people.] Gregory calls for new cabinet post, Secretary of Food and Nutrition. Says poor should be able to buy staples at 10 cents per pound Southern Christian Leadership Conference sponsors fast. [Southern Christian Leadership Conference leader Reverend Ralph David ABERNATHY - asks why most people don't have anything to eat.] Fast ends January 1, 1976.
