(Studio) Opponents of offshore oil drilling in Atlantic get brief reprieve. Yesterday, Int. Department urged oil companies to make statements of interest re: leasing of gas and oil rights in Atlantic. Today, Int. Department withdraws invitation at threat of New Jersey lawsuit. Secretary Int. Rogers Morton says he was unaware of promise his Department made to Supreme Court to hold off till court rules on offshore jurisdictions in Atlantic.
