(Studio) Govt. confirms former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover kept personal files on some of 8 President under whom he served. Attorney General Edward Levi makes statement before House subcommittee

(Capitol Hill) Levi and FBI director Clarence Kelley admit Hoover had personal files on certain individuals. [LEVI - states derogatory info recd through official investigations, another government agency, or informers.] Levi says Kelley doesn't keep such files but FBI still does. [Representative Robert DRINAN - doesn't think FBI has justification to collect information on mere private citizens.] [LEVI - concedes some FBI files misused; exs. given.]
