(Studio) Govt. oks plan allowing airlines to offer discounts up to 25% for more than 1/2 routes in country Civil Aeronautics Board action follows by 1 day. National Airlines application to cut fares by 1/3 on some of its long distance flights. Eric Sevareid comments on subject.

(DC) Airlines' request to lower rates is return to simplicity. For years, costs have risen with unnecessary frills; now airlines want to get back to basics. All areas of society affected by return to simplicity - food, dress, transp. etc.
