(Studio) In Fremont, Michigan, IRS (Internal Revenue Service) auctions off property of couple refusing to pay part of their tax bill since invasion of Cambodia 4 years ago.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(Fremont, Michigan) Paul and Addie Snyder have withheld about $3000 in taxes as symbolic protest against American involvement in Indochina. Snyders' property, vet clinic and home seized; worth $80,000. [SNYDER - says attitude toward taxes going for defense in other cntrys. hasn't changed.] [Addie SNYDER - says war can't continue without money.] Winning bid goes to friends of Snyders; Snyders to repay them for property. Issue not settled yet because Snyders withholding Pentagon share of `74 taxes.
