(Waterford, Ireland) Water shortage in Waterford, although city has 1 of highest average rainfalls in Ireland; problem is getting water to city. 4 years ago, reservoir built, but dam leaks million gals. water each day and no one knows what's wrong with dam or where water's going. [Local FARMERS - say fairies responsible for loss of water.] Dam built on legendary site of fairy fort; locals warned builders that disaster likely if dam built. Irish fairies described. [City counselor Tom BRENNAN - admits he's beginning to have 2nd thoughts about fairies.]
