(Studio) House refuses to lift ban on military aid to Turkey.

(DC) Vote 223-206. Pro-Greek bloc won by 17 votes.

(DC) White House had lobbied for lift of ban. Cypriot and Greek embassies deny Secretary of State Henry Kissinger's remark that their silence on ban could mean' they no longer objected. President Ford condemns vote.
