(Studio) Ruffian, filly who broke her leg in race at Belmont Park Sunday, put to death after operation.

(Belmont Park, New York) She won 10 of 10 races before race with Foolish Pleasure. Part of race shown in which she broke leg. [Jockey Jacinto VASQUEZ - calls her one of greatest horses ever.] X-ray of injury shown. [Vet. Dr. William REED - cites her great desire to win. Suffered tremendous loss.] Due to trainer Frank Whitely's request, she'll be buried in Belmont Park infield.
