(Colorado) Ford views development of oil shale. Estimated 3 trillion barrels oil locked in shale in Colorado, Wyoming and UT. Rptd. 2-4 times oil reserves of Mideast.

(Des Moines, Iowa) Ford visits state fair. Eisenhower visited same in 1954. Visits 4-H exhibits. [FORD - says more sales to USSR must be in our best national interests. Must be sure we have enough grain for our needs and those of traditional customers.] To attend fund-raising reception and dinner.
