(Studio) Father Irish Republican, Eamon de Valera, 92, dies. Was premier for 21 years and president for 14.

(Ireland) Film clips shown of de Valera's past career. Earned spurs for 1916 Easter week uprising. Not shot by British due to being born in NYC in 1882. He wanted North and South Ireland united. [DE VALERA - talks of unification.] Old guerrilla leader laid foundations of government responsibility.
