(Seattle, WA) Ray's background noted, include time spent in Washington, DC as chairperson of Atomic Energy Commission Ray's opponent is John Spellman. [SPELLMAN - chgs. opponent has narrow view.] [RAY - says technology now government issue.] Differences and similarities of candidates noted; Ray advocates nuclear power. [SPELLMAN - says Ray oversells nuclear energy.] [RAY - cites views with regard to environmental groups.] One other issue separating two in close race is Kingdome, home of Seattle Seahawks football team; details noted.
