(Studio) Reunion of surviving prisoners of war whom Japanese forced to build bridge over Kwai River held this week at bridge in Thailand.

(River Kwai, Thailand) (Scenes from film "Bridge on the River Kwai" shown, courtesy Columbia Pictures.) Reporter notes presence of Japanese soldiers who, in war, were guards at bridge. Man who worked for reunion is former Japanese army interpreter Takasi Nagase. Is asked if war scars will ever be forgotten. [NAGASE - says they won't be forgotten.] 1 American who attended reunion is Dennis Roland of Queens, New York. [ROLAND - describes labor on bridge.] Differences in fact and what Columbia Pictures film shows noted.
