(Studio) CIA director George Bush resigns effective January 20.

(Plains, Georgia) [George BUSH - says main thing is that President appoint a director he can have full confidence in. ] Carter is reserving option to appoint his own man to post. Carter aides deny reports that conservative Atlanta banker, Bertram Lance, will head new administration's Office of Management and Budget. [Carter aide, Rex GRANUM - says Mr. Lance will play a major role in new administration but no position for him as yet definitely stated.] President-elect Jimmy Carter has named only one member of new Washington team, press spokesman Jody Powell, and that position considered unlikely to change at least for awhile. Carter aides say Carter will make no major personnel decisions until mid-December
