(Studio) United Nations General Assembly calls for reconvening of Mid. East peace talks in Geneva by March with United States and USSR as co-chairperson PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) would be incld. in talks.

(NYC) Only Israel and United States vote against resolution. Ambassador William Scranton objects to setting deadline and incling. PLO; also says he doesn't want to commit new administration [SCRANTON - says with new possibility for settlement, new responsibility goes with it.] Secretary General Kurt Waldheim will contact ptys. in conf., but there won't be one until PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) and Israel accept each other and right now there's no sign of that.
