(Studio) In several cities, Christmastime fund-raising by religious group causes confusion to adults and children with regard to identity of Santa Claus.

(NYC) Report on confusion in New York City between Santas of Volunteers of American and those of International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Hindu organization [Volunteers of American SANTA - says people ask him if Krishnas are part of Vols. group.] Vols. will lose money in help for needy. [Vols. spokesperson Colonel Don SCHWARTZ - notes problems lack of income will cause group.] Destination of Krishna money is food relief in Bangladesh, but most for group's own publications. [Hare Krishna organization spokesperson ROMAPADA - cites reasons why group doesn't feel there's deception.] [MAN - says if he'd known Santa was Krishna he wouldn't have donated.] Krishna have pledged better identification to help stop confusion.
