(Studio) North Vietnam releases prisoners of war list from Laos, but list contains only 7 names.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner

(Pentagon) Lieutenant Colonel Stischer, Captain Stephen Long and Lieutenant Henry Bedinger already listed by Pentagon as POW's. 4 MIA's, Major Edward Leonard Junior, Major N. Gotner, Captain Jack Butcher and Captain Charles Riess, on Laos list. [Pentagon spokesperson Jerry FRIEDHEIM - says list does not contain names POW's who might have died in captivity.] 617 men now accounted for by North Vietnam. 1900 men believed MIA's or POW's.

(Studio) State Department also releases names 2 American civilians and 1 Canadian civilian in prison in Laos. Americans Ernest Brace and Sam Matix.
