(Studio) Report on tough Japanese school.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(Near Osaka City, Japan) 60 boys, 10-18, years old, attend special boarding school. Cost is $100 month Exercises and 1-mi. run done daily after wake-up. School not heated on purpose. Schools daily schedule noted. Students attend public school during major part of day and train at private school before and after classes. Those making mistakes are struck with rod and then correct their answers. Discipline rigorous.
