(Studio) President Ford and Ronald Reagan complete Illinois campaigning. 4 Democrats running are: Jimmy Carter, Alabama Governor George Wallace, Sargent Shriver and Fred Harris.

(Chicago, Illinois) Carter speaks to Chicago council on foreign relations [CARTER - says Secretary of State doesn't trust Americans' judgment; he conducts foreign policy in secret which create divs. Days of Nixon shocks and Kissinger surprises must end. Can't go along with "detente" policy as carried out by Nixon and Ford admins. Kissinger gives up too much and asks for too little.] Carter's comments with regard to win over Wallace noted.
