(Studio) In British House of Commons, Labor Party votes for successor to Premier Harold Wilson.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(London, England) Champion of Labor Party's left-wing, Employment Secretary Michael Foot was frontrunner in election. His political career noted. Favorite candidate is For. Secretary James Callaghan, who was busy this week with Andrei Gromyko visit. In 1969, Callaghan walked through Catholic part of Londonderry, North Ireland. Home Secretary Roy Jenkins, who came in 3rd, resigns from race, as did Energy Secretary Anthony Benn who came in 4th. Chancellor the Exchequerer Denis Healey is last candidate. Pol. observers will be surprised if Healey survives next ballot.
