(Beirut, Lebanon) Christians try to keep leftists from overrunning their headquarters in port area. Moslems continue drive in Beirut and in mts. [Phalangist leader Sheik Bechir GEMAYEL - glad someone (UN) worried about Christians' physical elimination.] [Leftist leader Kamal JUMBLATT - says matter is internal affair.] Ex-US ambassador Dean Brown's appearance noted as incrd. United States concern, but Christians don't expect United States military help. No assurances United Nations Security Council can help either. No 1 can stop war.
