(Studio) Suburban bus drivers join 13 day old city workers' strike.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(San Francisco, California) No. of cars crossing Golden Gate Bridge doubled and no. of commuters quadrupled due to strike. No traffic tie-ups; traffic conditions noted. Cars allowed to use bus lanes and park in bus zones. No significant work absences. Municipal garbage piles up in some areas. Craft union workers still picketing, along with sympathetic bus drivers.
