(Studio) Representative Morris Udall has trouble entering primary.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(Indianapolis, IN) IN Labor Coalition gathered 9,000 signatures by March 12 to qualify Udall for primary. On March 15, 1 1/2 hrs. before deadline, signatures taken across street to Secretary of State's office. Office says names were 35 short of 500 required in 1 district. Udall disqualified. FBI investigates. [State Coordinator of Labor Coalition, David KIESTER - sure everything was in order.] WISH-TV videotape shown. 2 Republicans on 3-member IN Election Bd. decided that the late petitions sent in couldn't be counted. [UDALL - hopes all candidates can be on all ballots in future.]
