(Studio) Report on "CBS-New York Times" poll.

(Studio) Poll shows Jimmy Carter leading with union voters. 36% union hseholds. went to Carter by early p.m.; 30% for Senator Henry Jackson; 15% for Governor George Wallace; 12% for Representative Morris Udall and 7% for others. Poll shows Jackson doing just slightly better than Carter with pro-Rizzo voters. Carter dominates 4 of 5 issues considered most important. Issues noted. Carter leads on president qualities of honesty, stand on issues and leadership 1/2 Democrats would have voted for Senator Hubert H. Humphrey if he'd been on ballot.
