REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(Concord, Massachusetts) [Carl VELLECA - says FBI usually behind him.] Convict, Velleca, promised end to voter apathy due to his candidacy for town selectman. 1/2 of town voted; Velleca defeated. [WOMAN - cites her opposition to Velleca.] [2nd WOMAN - says Velleca isn't Concord.] [MAN - says many resented Velleca's candidacy.] [VELLECA - says won philosophical victory.] He manages prison gift shop. May get parole in 1981.
