(Studio) Current shipwreck off Spanish coast being compared to `67 spillage from shipwreck in English channel when 100,000 gals. oil spilled.

(La Coruna, Spain) Spanish oil tanker 1/2 submerged, but there are still some fires aboard. Tanker ran aground and suffered explosions. 110,000 tons of Persian Gulf crude oil aboard. 30,000 tons of oil and more leaked from ship. Govt. trying to control oil spill. Region lives off tourism and fishing; both inds. could be ruined by oil.
