REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(New Hampshire) In 1774, drummer drummed through sts. of Portsmouth; scene reenacted. Paul Revere had warned town that the British were coming. People answered the call to arms and followed drummer. British commander surrendered Fort William and Mary to the mob which took the king's gunpowder. It was 1st Revolutionary War victory.
