(Studio) Early in campaign, Ronald Reagan ruffled feathers with remarks re: Panama Canal; review given. Similar reaction occurs following Reagan's statement with regard to United States troops and Rhodesia.

States he's not proposing combat; suggests United States use position to help Rhodesia settle internal affairs in peaceful manner.] Asked about primary results in California. [REAGAN - says he's reasonably optimistic about California primary.]
