(Elmore, Minnesota) "Fritz" Mondale's hometown featured. His father was Methodist minister. [Hazel COOAN - tells of songs that Mondale sang in church.] Mondale sold vegetables to help with family expenses. His sports background noted. [Sunday school teacher, Fritz YAHNKE - says Mondale knew how to get in trouble and how to get out.] [Ed NAUMANN - says Mondale was always political inclined.] Mondale considered average all-American who would do well someday.
