(DC) June food prices up only 1/5 as much as May. Gasoline prices up 2.7% in June. [Federal Energy Admin. Frank ZARB - expects gasoline price rise until Labor Day and then prices will decline.] Econ. expected to settle into inflation rate near 6% per year Real spendable earnings down .9% in June.
