(Studio) 1 of triple crown winner Secretariat's yearlings sold for large sum.
REPORTER: Dan Rather
(Lexington, Kentucky) 1973 film shows Secretariat. Texas and Canada racing syndicates bid for 1 of Secretariat's colts. Colt sold for $1.5 million. [Co-owner Jack BURNETT - says one never knows if horse worth that much.] Colt was prize of oilman, Nelson Bunker Hunt, who paid $100,000 to breed his mare with Secretariat. He may buy into Canadian syndicate that bought colt.
