(Studio) Ronald Reagan challenges President Ford to debate at Republican convention Ford rejects offer. Reagan accuses Ford aides of using incumbency to woo uncommitted delegates.

(DC) Uncommitted Republican delegates have easy access to White House New York delegation arrives for visit. Ford entertains delegates daily. He calls some on telephone each night. Other delegates invited to state dinners.
