(Studio) Report on opposition to Communist regime of Cambodia.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(Cambodia) Film by French group shows 1 of the guerrilla resistance units. Ldrs. and many recruits are ex-soldiers of defeated regime of Marshal Lon Nol. Other members are peasants who fled to Thailand. Peasants tell of mass executions by the Khymer Rouge regime and of forced labor with little rest or food. Guerrilla training described. Patrols try to avoid encounters with Communist troops. Guerrillas' lifestyles noted. Rebels get no aid from other cntrys. or from overseas exiles. Rebels feel Communists are destroying Cambodia's ancient Buddhist tradition. Rebels pray for help with their struggle. They also sing for resistance unification.
