(Studio) Before chosen Vice President, Senator Robert Dole told "Time" magazine interview, President shouldn't take vacation after conv., but begin campaign. Dole says now didn't know whole story.

(DC) Dole gets briefing by CIA Director George Bush, Defense Department officials and White House national security staff on foreign politics. After briefing Dole says may be hopeful signs in Korea situation. Questioned with regard to remark in "Time" interview, [DOLE - says didn't understand it was also to be work week] Dole begins campaigning Wednesday in Washington and Thursday in Iowa following Jimmy Carter by 1 day in each appearance.
