(Hartford, Connecticut) Report on Eugene McCarthy's campaign for President (Film of New Hampshire rally, 1968, shown.) [McCARTHY - says was prepared to take on stronger opposition than he has.] McCarthy says he'll fight to be include in debates. [McCARTHY - says he'll go to court if necessary.] Points in platform noted. Some still remember McCarthy from 1968 campaign, others don't. [WOMAN - asks who he is.] [MAN - says he's glad to see McCarthy running but doesn't know if he has much chance.] [2nd MAN - says he doesn't know enough to comment.] Some political experts say McCarthy may be decisive factor in race. [Pol. writer Theodore H. WHITE - says McCarthy may be man who throws presidency to House] On subject of hurting Jimmy Carter: [McCARTHY - says when you're in pols. 25 years you do what you got to do.]
