(Studio) Senator passes clean air bill today. Measure now goes to conference with House

(DC) Bill gives auto. mfrs. additional time to clean up exhaust emissions. Colorado Senator Gary Hart proposal for tougher pollution standards and 1979 deadline defeated. Hart says exhaust control to do job and increase fuel efficiency already in production. [HART - notes pressure on Senator to defeat this type of measure.] Reporter notes some of controls on industry pollution &house bill under consideration.
