(Studio) House subcommittee investigating cause for collapse of ID's Teton Dam closed hearings today without finding cause.

(DC) Govt. engineers say everything had been done to proper specification despite dam's bursting. Geologists say other dams and similar constructions planned or built are in same danger. Environmental Policy Center reveals list of 11 such sites; dams on list noted. Subcommittee chairperson Leo Ryan says government engineers should do better in preconstruction studies and says he isn't convinced Interior Department doing best to determine cause of Teton Dam collapse.
