(DC) During surprise, no-camera, no-microphone news conf., President Ford denies wrongdoing with regard to golf trips; denies personal use of campaign contributions. Ford says he has no knowledge of purpose of Watergate prosecutor's investigation into Kent Cnty., Ohio, Republican records. Campaign aides said to feel Ford aides had fouled up situation and that Carter had got upper hand for 1st time since Republican convention
